Dedicated time to volunteer at various DIY venues in Nottingham including Old Bus Depot, JT Soar, The Grove and the Boat Club. Shadowed and assisted live sound engineers and promoters in a professional manner. Experienced in digital and analogue mixing consoles.Engaged with various acts in Metronome as part of the Level 3 Live and Technical Events course at Confetti, covering Metronome P1 and P2 venues. Worked in production teams and completed performances successfully, satisfying the audience and artists. Handled various roles, gaining understanding of the perspective of different technical crew members.Works as a freelance live sound engineer. Currently working at JT Soar and supporting Gringo Records, a British independent record label est. 1996. Assisting Mark Spivey, Gringo Record's trusted sound engineer, by mixing support bands and helping on stage.Previously have worked at The Carousel as a sound technician and bar assistant. Set up staging, greeted artists and comunicated with them, achieving their ideal sound on stage. Completed sound checks in a timely manner. Used initiative to assist on bar during performances, handling busy crowds. Multitasked by operating the analogue sound console and lighting console during sets. Packed down accordingly, cleaned the venue and bar station at the end of every shift.Will be working festivals fulfilling a range of roles including live sound, backline and stage crewing. Upcoming festivals include: Radfest, BOHO festival, ArcTanGent festival

Promoter


An upcoming DIY promoter under the name 'tipcap'. In contact with a range of Nottingham promoters such as Ben from Hockley Hustle, Brendan from Sonic Masala, Marty from Buttonpusher, Nick from EFBAS (Every Face Becomes a Skull), Will from INFL (I'm Not From London). Started to branch out to create own gigs by contacting local musicians and venues. Constantly shows strong planning and organisational skills.Following DIY ethics, everything was created from scratch using own passion and motivation. Designed logo and posters independently, combining creativity and graphic design skills.Scheduled and communicated efficiently with artists as part of an external project through Confetti which kickstarted the promoting journey. Reached out to local venues to start hosting events independently. Received an incredible opportunity to be the Program Manager for Sneinton Festival, a community festival dedicated to diversity, inclusivity and joy. Planned the schedule for two stages across two days, booked artists, poets, dancers and performers to a professional standard.Upcoming events:
